We are just days away from the release of Rock vs. Cena - Once in a Lifetime and my copy of the DVD has just landed on my desk - lucky me! Anyway, I thought I’d take a few photos of all the artwork and packaging so you can see how awesome this set looks and it even includes the much sought after DVD listing insert.

As soon as the Blu-ray comes in I’ll take some photos of that too. Click on any of the thumbnails above to see supersized images. So, who’s going to be watching their copy this week?

It’s not often that the DVD and Blu-ray come into stock at the same time, but that’s exactly what just happened with WWE Best PPV Matches 2011 - so if you ordered it it is on its way, and may even be with you already! For those that haven’t, here’s a closer look at the packaging.

No surprises that Money in the Bank 2011 is the main feature on the back cover as many would say it was the best WWE PPV of 2011.

The reverse side of the Blu-ray cover lists the contents. Here’s a question for you - can you name which match and PPV the images on the discs are from? Here’s the inside of the DVD set so you can see Disc 2 which has a different image and you have a another match to guess.

Here is another photo of the inside of the DVD set:

My favourite PPV poster from 2011 is definitely SummerSlam, but I also liked Royal Rumble - what about you?

No prizes for guessing the match on the back of the DVD set - that one is obviously from WrestleMania 27. I can’t wait to see their re-match at WrestleMania 28 - I wonder if Triple will be the one to finally break Undertaker’s streak, or will we see the Phenom make it 20-0?
You’ll be pleased to know that the DVD does come with an insert listing the contents of the set, and here it is:

So there is your guided your of the WWE Best PPV Matches 2011 - I hope you enjoy watching it, and who is up for the disc match challenge that I set earlier?

If I have my copies of the Vengeance 2011 DVD and Blu-ray that can only mean one thing - yours will be here very soon, much earlier than we expected.

Bet this 12 months ago you didn’t expect to see Mark Henry’s face as the sole image on a DVD or Blu-ray disc - what a monster year he’s had.

As soon as the stock comes in we’ll be sending them straight out to everyone who has pre-ordered their copies.  There are some great extra matches on the Blu-ray version.

In stock already?

A certain DVD looks to have come into the warehouse far earlier than expected. In fact people in the UK may even get it in time for Christmas, which would be quite amazing. I’ll tell you more when I get confirmation.
Speaking of Christmas, I always remember many years ago receiving WrestleMania IV on video. It was a massive double video pack, and you didn’t get many of those at the time. I knew most of the results but I still loved watching it.
What memories do you have of receiving WWE videos, DVDs or Blu-rays for Christmas?

The countdown has started…

The countdown has started…

A few days earlier than I was expecting it, my copy of Steve Austin:The Most Popular Superstar Of All Time Blu-ray (3 Discs) has turned up, and the stock should be in for you guys any day now too. At 12 hours and 28 mins it’s the longest WWE Blu-ray we’ve ever produced, beating out the WrestleMania 27 Blu-ray by over 3 hours!

Obviously I’m looking forward to watching the documentary but the matches look really good too. Can’t wait to see Austin & Flair v Sting & Steamboat in upscaled HD splendour!

Epic is the word I’d use to describe this release, and a whole weekend is what I’ll need to watch it all! What’s your favourite ever Stone Cold Steve Austin match or moment?

To be in with a chance of winning both these DVDs, just tell me who is your favourite ever King of the Ring winner and why?

It was back in 1991 and I was sitting in a Maths lesson when a friend handed me a video catalogue and asked if I wanted anything from it as his Mum was putting in a big order. I flicked through not expecting to see anything I wanted until my eyes focused on a WWE video.
I couldn’t quite believe my eyes but it was true. Staring back at me was Survivor Series 1988, an event I had heard about but never seen, and for just £14.99 I had to have it. This was the first WWE video I ever bought.
That was 20 years ago and to this day it’s probably my most watched WWE event of all time. Even the sleeve was great as I used to love the way they featured the Co-Captains of each team on the back, though this was actually bettered the next year in 1989 when they little group shots of the whole teams!

It was the 40+ minute 10 tag teams match that I’d watch over and over ad nauseum. I think it shocked me each and every time that The Conquistadors made it to the end, I mean, who in blue hell were those guys?
Paired with Survivor Series 1989 it’s one of my favourite Tagged Classics releases ever. But now, my question to you is what was the first ever WWE video or DVD that you bought?

My sample of the Greatest Rivalries: Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart Blu-ray has just arrived and what you’ll notice from the photo below is that the reverse side of the sleeve not only lists the contents but also includes some the awesome artwork from the DVD version.

Can’t wait for you guys to get this and tell me what you think, and I have kept my promise to not watch it until you have your copies. Not long now - this week!
I was always on the side of Shawn Michaels as he’d been my favourite since his days in The Rockers and in particular the Survivor Series 1988 match where he escaped an Arn Anderson hip toss by twisting 360 degrees round Arn’s arm - anyone remember that?
It should be a fascinating look back at arguably the greatest rivalry in WWE history.
